Profesor sam neurokirurgije sa subspecijalizacijom za pedijatrijsku neurokirurgiju. Trenutačno sam voditelj odjela za dječju neurokirurgiju Sveučilišne bolnice u Tübingenu u Njemačkoj. Također sam voditelj odjela za kirurgiju perifernih nerava i Programa hidrocefalusa u odraslih u Sveučilišnoj bolnici Tübingen.

Autor sam 87 publikacija u recenziranim časopisima i 9 poglavlja knjiga. Član sam uredničkog odbora ili recezent za brojne medicinske časopise iz područja pedijatrijske neurokirurgije, neurologije i kliničke skrbi. Primio sam brojne Europske i Njemačke nagrade i suosnivač Njemačkog innterdisciplinarnog foruma za pedijatrijsku neurokirurgiju.
