Diagnose.me has helped hundreds of patients from around the world to achieve better medical outcomes
Here are some of their stories
I am very satisfied with the Diagnose.me services and would certainly recommend it. I am happy that there is a reliable service that a patient can turn to in hard times.

My mom fell sick and was diagnosed with a stage IV lung cancer. My world collapsed. Immediately, I started looking on the internet about her illness so that I could somehow help her. Unfortunately, my medicine knowledge is poor and the local doctor seemed professional. Moreover, the doctor was talking mostly only to my mom, who can no longer interpret the information very well and we remained in the dark. After the last time the local doctor was unwilling to meet with me, I started looking for an explanation from another oncologist.
He recommended further examinations and re-diagnosis. However, I was unable to make a decision and was afraid if I understood him properly.
This is when I contacted Diagnose.me.
The Diagnose.me oncologist explained the diagnosis and treatment in detail and confirmed that further examination is necessary as well. Professor Bartsch’ report helped me to better understand the diagnosis and prepare for further discussion with my mom’s oncologist. I also had some follow up question for the professor and he answered very promptly.
Diagnose.me is a much needed service. I look forward to a continued relationship with Diagnose.me. I am a customer for life.

Diagnose.me has consistently outperformed a prestigious healthcare system.
I am a medical provider with chronic illness. I frequently undergo MRI and CT scans. As a medical provider, I know when to suspect my images have not been interpreted correctly. Over the years, I have challenged a number of final interpretations by requesting a second read by a separate radiologist. In most instances, initial reports, as suspected, were found to be incorrect. Given my experiences with a high rate of MRI and CT scan interpretation error, I felt it would be prudent to obtain two separate reads for every scan and compare reports accordingly. This was my own approach to improving the quality of my own healthcare. This is when I found Diagnose.me.
A year ago, I started using Diagnose.me as my second opinion service. Over the past 12 months, I have had 3 MRIs and 3 CT scans read by Diagnose.me. I have consistently found the quality of the interpretation and report to be superior to information I receive from the health system I frequent here in the United States. Diagnose.me has consistently outperformed a prestigious healthcare system.
Most recently, I was experiencing some swelling and arm pain. I underwent an MRI. The MRI was read as normal by my health system. I sent the MRI to Diagnose.me for my routine second opinion as normal. Dr. Valentin Sinitsyn at Diagnose.me was able to identify two deep vein thrombus (blood clots). Dr. Sinitsyn’s interpretation seemed more consistent with my presentation, so I took the information provided per Dr. Sinitsyn and spoke with my physician. A follow up ultrasound did confirm the presence of two blood clots. This was particularly significant, since I have an extensive history of blood clots and was already receiving anticoagulation therapy. It turns out I was developing anticoagulation failure and throwing many clots. This potentially life threatening condition required a hospital treatment. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Sinitsyn for catching those blood clots on the MRI. Had he not seen those clots, I could have suffered even more clots, or I could have even lost my life.
As I have been previously let down by the health service, an unbiased opinion was important to me. I have since been diagnosed with vasculitis, a rare inflammatory disease, which explains the various symptoms I suffered from. If needed, I would not hesitate to use Diagnose.me again - for my peace of mind.

Doctor asked questions, was thorough and gave me a detailed explanation
After suffering from cognitive problems, headaches, blurry vision, loss of balance and falls, I booked an MRI scan. The results of the scan showed small changes to my brain function but I was given no reasonable explanation as to what was causing my problems. I decided to contact Diagnose.me for a doctor second opinion online. I wanted to be reassured that I had not suffered a minor stroke or a bleed. I also wanted a more comprehensive explanation of the MRI scans and the findings. Dr. Vilanova from Diagnose.me provided me with a detailed, personalised medical report, which to my great relief. It reassured me that I had not had a stroke or a bleed.
Dr. Karas also recommended a suitable treatment plan for me and suggested I contact Jeroen Bosch Hospital, one of the main hospitals treating Multiple Sclerosis in the Netherlands, where I finally received medical guidance.

A long road to getting the correct treatment plan for Multiple Sclerosis
When I started experiencing loss of coordination and double vision, I went to a local clinic in Kharkov, where a MRI scan revealed multiple demyelinated lesions in the white matter of my brain. Later examinations confirmed I had Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The problem was that I did not receive any clear information from my doctors, neither about the disease or the treatment.
As the insurance in Ukraine does not cover MS treatment, I was offered the possibility to participate in a new drug trial. The drug was similar to Copaxone, which is used to prevent the relapse of Multiple Sclerosis. I refused to participate, because I didn’t understand my condition.
On the advice of my Dutch friend, I contacted Diagnose.me. I received a detailed report from Dr. Georgios Karas, a neuroradiology specialist, with explanations that were easy to understand and finally gave me the valuable information I longed to hear about my condition.
It’s important to me that I feel fit, but also that I keep in shape. Following my NHS MRI scan, I still didn’t feel in control of the situation and wanted to be much better informed.

Greater understanding of my condition and informed conversation
I suffered a terrible injury on a dry ski-slope in preparation for my first ever skiing trip. Despite´my best efforts, the pain in my knees persisted and made it almost impossible for me to exercise. I wanted to regain my fitness and got a referral to see an orthopaedic consultant at a local NHS hospital, where I underwent an MRI scan. The results were inconclusive and ambiguous, and having received a one-paragraph report from my consultant, I was disappointed with the lack of information it provided.
I contacted a musculoskeletal radiologist at Diagnose.me, Professor Claudia Schueller-Weidekamm, and was delighted with the level of detail in her report and the speed with which it was delivered. The eight page report included explanatory images and diagrams and gave me a greater understanding of my condition, which enabled me to have an informed conversation with my treating doctor and challenge certain aspects of the treatment. After discussing the treatment options available, I underwent a double knee arthroscopy.
I was immensely pleased to have received an alternative suggestion to the surgery! I really appreciate the detailed interpretation of the images, which were explained to me in a very easy-to-understand language, suitable for a non-medical person.

Surgery was avoidable
Since injuring my shoulder whilst doing a bench press, it’s been hurting from time to time. I was putting the visit to the doctor off as the pain was mostly bearable. However, since last summer, the pain was constant. It prevented me from leading a normal life and despite being only in my forties, I could barely put on a T-shirt or lift heavy items.
I visited NHS and also a private clinic where the doctor suggested surgery, but I wasn’t 100% sure and wanted to get more information first. After hours of useless internet research, I still didn’t know any more. Whilst searching online, I came across Diagnose.me and decided to send my images to Dr. Bellaiche, a musculoskeletal radiologist working for the French national sport teams and Arsenal Football Club. Her detailed report stated that I do not require surgery and she recommended a simple intra-articular corticosteroid infiltration instead. This much less invasive treatment was also confirmed by the second specialist from Diagnose.me whom I consulted.
Online second opinion report had both depth and clarity. The doctor precisely described my diagnosis and provided me with recommendations for further examinations. I have been very impressed with the speed of the response as my report was completed over a weekend!

Great relief after getting a second opinion online
For many years I was a chain smoker. This all changed following my last medical check-up when my doctor found a lesion on my lung scans. Scared, I went online immediately, looking for more information about lung lesions. Which is where I came across Diagnose.me.
I decided to send my X-ray scans to another specialist to confirm my diagnosis and to find out more about possible treatment. To my disbelief, Dr. Argentieri from Diagnose.me stated in his report that my scan didn’t show any evidence of a lung nodule. What appeared to be a lesion was in fact a false nodule showing due to a calcification of the cartilage of my first rib, a common misdiagnosis made by many doctors. Dr. Argentieri also recommended I undergo screening for lung cancer for heavy smokers using a low dose CT. This is a programme which has been running in many countries that I wasn’t aware of. I decided to follow Dr. Argentieri’s advice, but more importantly, following this scare I’ve quit smoking altogether.
The reports provided by Diagnose.me experts helped me to finally get the correct treatment and I’m very thankful to Diagnose.me for making it possible for me to connect with them.

My decision to send my MRI scans to two independent specialists helped
After a wrongly administered injection, I was suffering from constant foot pain for a couple of months. I went to see a number of specialists who weren't able to diagnose me and couldn’t agree on the cause of my problem. One of the doctors thought it may be a musculoskeletal problem while the other thought it was a neurological problem. I underwent various therapies and treatments to reduce the pain but nothing was helping.
I was getting frustrated and wanted to be sure that I was getting the right treatment, so I decided to send my MRI scans to two independent specialists on Diagnose.me - a neuroradiology specialist and a musculoskeletal expert. They both came back to me advising me to get new, high resolution MRI scans as the ones I had submitted did not provide them with enough details. I’ve requested another examination and sent my new high-resolution MRI scans to both consultants, who subsequently arrived at the same conclusion. I have discussed their reports with my treating physician who helped me to find the correct treatment for my foot.
Not being physically active for 5-6 weeks is a big deal for me. I was looking for a specialist, who had extensive experience in dealing with the exact problem I was having, who could help me decide what’s best for me. Should I have a serious medical issue in the future, I will certainly consult a specialist again. People shouldn’t hesitate to investment in their health.

Online second opinion confirmed that surgery is necessary
As a busy manager, I like to unwind by doing a lot of sport including golf, walking, horse riding and cycling. However, last summer, without any obvious reason, I suddenly started to feel pain in my left knee. After six weeks of constant pain, I decided to go for a MRI examination because I was worried that I had damaged my ligaments or cartilage. The general radiologist at the local hospital in Trencin and the orthopedist I saw both recommended a surgery. I wanted to find out if the operation was really necessary, so I consulted my case with a musculoskeletal radiology specialist at Diagnose.me – Dr. Pierre Gaston Benedict.
Within three days of contacting him, he sent me a detailed report with descriptive pictures, confirming the recommendations of my Slovak doctors. I underwent surgery and I’m currently finishing my rehabilitation programme.
I was undergoing physiotherapy to build back the strength in my elbow, however each time I was in the gym it was making it worse and within a few weeks the area was becoming sore and swollen. After receiving results from my doctor, I felt that the feedback wasn’t clear and I wanted more of an answer.

Bone fragments in my elbow required a surgery
In 2013 I fractured the radial head in my right elbow as a result of a fall onto a hard concrete surface. I had no surgery at the time, but had the injured arm in a sling for 5 weeks. I became frustrated when I couldn’t enjoy sports like golf and squash which I regularly took part in. I also have three children, and as a result of the injury I was unable to be as active or as involved with them as I would have liked.
I became worried about the number of set-backs I was having with my elbow and so requested and scheduled an MRI scan with my doctor. Even though the original MRI scan did pick up that there were some bone fragments left from the fracture, the report I received was vague and I decided to seek a second medical opinion and consulted a musculoskeletal radiologist at Diagnose.me, Dr. Schueller-Weidekamm.
I discussed the results of her second opinion with my doctor, including the recommended treatments within the report and I’m awaiting a consultation in order to book an arthroscopy of the elbow to clean the joint and remove the remaining bone fragments.
When a friend recommended Diagnose.me, I was immediately intrigued by the prospect of being able to consult an international expert, without actually having to travel outside of the UK! Now I feel happy that I am following the right advice and will therefore continue with my current treatment plan and hope for slow and steady improvement.

My treatment plan was finally confirmed
I have been suffering with chronic lower back pain for over 5 years and was becoming frustrated with the inconclusive reports I’d received from various specialists regarding the causes of my ongoing discomfort. I’ve been seeing a chiropractor for regular massages – as well as carrying out daily, recommended exercises – but due to the conflicting advice I’d been given in the past, I hadn’t felt totally convinced that this was the right course of action for me.
Within a few “clicks” my X-rays had been sent to the radiologist and musculoskeletal specialist, Dr. Laurence Bellaiche who I later discovered is a consultant to some of France’s top footballers! She sent me a report within two days and I was relieved that she had made the same diagnosis as previously two UK-based consultants.
Whilst Dr Bellaiche’s second opinion did not go so far as to highlight a new, radical treatment that might have helped my chronic back pain further – it did however provide me with the reassurance I needed.
