Neurosurgeon • Expert neurosurgeon with over 2,000 procedures; specialized in brain tumor surgery, skull base surgery, cerebrovascular surgery, and most spinal surgeries.
I am the vice chairman of the department of neurosurgery (to be in charge for student education) at the university hospital of St. Poelten in Austria. I have performed over 2,000 procedures. My main subspecialty is brain tumor surgery, including skull base surgery and cerebrovascular surgery. With the exception of spinal instrumentation, I am also experienced in spinal surgery (> 800 cases).
My main scientific interest is neuro-oncology and traumatic brain injury. Since 2014, I am the head of the study group Neurotraumatology of the Austrian Society of Neurosurgery. I am internationally trained with neuroscience fellowships at the University of West Virginia, USA, the University of Naples, Italy, the University of Tübingen, Germany, and at the trauma center Murnau, Germany.
My main goal in any neurosurgical consultation is to explain the medical imaging in context of the neurologic symptoms of the patient. Patient’s comprehension is crucial and necessary to set the patient on the road to recovery.
The second opinion was received in time, and the specialist provided a qualified and understandable opinion based on the information I had provided.
Thanks Doc, the reports are accurate.
Thanks a lot for the alternative recommendation.
